Jonathan Norberg is a sculpture artist based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
His journey into the world of art began in his youth, inspired by his aunt’s foundry and later solidified during his time in business school, where he craved a creative outlet.
Jonathan’s work often showcases wildlife, a passion nurtured by his father during childhood camping trips. Yet, his sculptures are never quite what you’d expect them to be.
Perhaps influenced by his mother’s enthusiasm for Star Trek conventions and renaissance fairs, or perhaps inspired by Jim Henson’s imaginative worlds, Jonathan’s work blends the fantastical with the familiar. His work evokes joy and wonder. He believes in letting his art speak for itself, avoiding the pretentiousness that can sometimes accompany artistic expression.
Jonathan’s work has caught the eye of many, including his wife, who admits to having an “art crush” on him after seeing his bird sculptures. His career goals include creating public, larger scale sculptures (such as in a park or outside a building), where the work can inspire and delight all who encounter them.
“The world is so serious.
I don’t need to add to that.”
